About Alex Gortinsky

Mr. Gortinsky was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His family has also maintained their Russian heritage. Mr. Gortinsky completed his undergraduate and post-graduate studies in California. He is married. Mr. Gortinsky and his family live in Sacramento, California.

Mr. Gortinsky has been involved in the legal field since 1996. He worked as a student intern since his first year of law school. After he became an Attorney and Counselor at Law, Mr. Gortinsky practiced with the prestigious general litigation law firm of McDonald, Saeltzer, Morris, Creeggan & Waddock. He started his own practice in 2005 in Fair Oaks, California.

Mr. Gortinsky obtained a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. In law school, Mr. Gortinsky was a recipient of the nationally-recognized Bancroft-Whitney American Jurisprudence Award for Criminal Procedure and an award from McGeorge School of Law for Outstanding Contribution to Legal Scholarship in International Advocacy.

He is admitted to practice in all of California’s state courts; U.S. Federal District Court, Eastern and Northern Districts of California; and the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.

He is a member of the State Bar of California, American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Capitol City Trial Lawyers Association (CCTLA) and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Mr. Gortinsky speaks, reads and writes in English, Russian and Spanish.
